Deeply rooted in research, experience, and a solutions-first approach, our drive to build and create is shared by each designer, engineer, strategist, and copywriter.

It all started with Vine, which grew from our team experimenting with consumer video technology. While the social media app was later acquired by Twitter, it fueled our obsession with ideation and innovation. Five years later, we came up with the idea for HQ Trivia, a mobile trivia game that was rated the #1 mobile application by TIME in 2017.

In 2020, in the wake of the Black Lives Matter Movement, we looked inward, asking ourselves the question, “How can we utilize our services and talents to bring about change?” From there, the idea for Subdial, an app that provides access to first-responder alternatives, was born. Since then, Subdial has been recognized with the title of TIME Best Inventions of 2021 and received a Webby Award, an Anthem Award, and a Greater Good Award. 

When it comes to our client work, we see ourselves as a true product and brand partner. If a client has a problem to solve, we help ideate the solution — whether it’s a design, engineering, or strategic one. When Netflix needed a centralized website for all of its company news and assets, we delivered a WCAG AA 2.1 Compliant website that can be read and understood in 21 languages. When Whistle wanted to market its wearable smart devices in a more unique way, we leveraged our design and brand positioning services to bring them into a new era. 

As a full-service agency, we’re able to pull in all of our resources to come up with the answers, features, narratives, and directions that provide the results our clients are looking for. 

Ideation and innovation are two terms we tend to associate with our strategy services. Categorized into three areas — product, business, and brand — strategy almost always requires a healthy dose of ideation and innovation.

You can spot a Big Human-designed brand or product by its innovative nature. We don’t design things simply because that’s how it’s been done in the past. Our color palettes, illustrations, iconography, logos, photo treatments, layouts, and graphic elements are always infused with modern, forward-thinking ideas.

Whether we’re building a website, an app, or any other digital product, we’re always thinking about the intended audience and how they will use it — both today and in the future. Any features and capabilities are also created with accessibility in mind.

Growth is synonymous with innovation — the two are one and the same. You can design and build a product that works for the here and now, but without growth strategies (content and email marketing, SEO, continued optimization) you’ll fall behind. As society and technology evolve, so should your product or company.
