Back in 2015, when cryptocurrency was still making its way into mainstream awareness, the Winklevoss twins came to Big Human for help designing their FinTech brand. Gemini would become New York's inaugural Bitcoin exchange — but it first needed a brand identity. Facing the challenge of infusing their brand with the dynamic energy of this groundbreaking technology while upholding the security and reliability synonymous with traditional investment platforms, we crafted a brand that epitomized both ambition and stature. The chosen name, Gemini, also subtly paid homage to the twin founders. With the visual identity system, we were able to achieve a delicate balance — a clean and minimal aesthetic that resonated with the contemporary essence of this new era of currency.
