TD Ameritrade is one of the most recognized brokerage firms for individual investors in the world. From 2010 to 2019, Big Human served as their agency of record — a nearly decade-long partnership that grew from a brand refresh into something much larger. We became TDA's embedded innovation studio, working across product, marketing, and engineering on some of their most important digital products.

That included the TD Ameritrade Mobile app, Mobile Trader (redesigned for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch), and thinkorswim — a complex trading platform where we tackled one of fintech design's hardest challenges: making dense, real-time financial data legible and actionable. Our UI/UX work on Mobile Trader contributed to a 21% increase in average monthly mobile users and a 41% increase in daily active users, and helped TDA earn a spot on Barron's list of Best Online Brokers in 2017.
